Binani Cement Limited is engaged in the production and sales of cement and clinker. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2009 (fiscal 2009), it produced 42,92,000 metric tons of cement and sold 42,43,000 metric tons of cement. In fiscal 2009, the Company produced 41,73,000 metric tons of clinker. Krishna Holdings Pte Limited (KHL) and Shandong Binani RongAn Cement Company Limited (SBRCCL), subsidiary of Krishna Holdings Limited are subsidiaries of the Company. Further the Company had invested in Mukundan Holdings Limited a 100% subsidiary formed in British Virgin Islands in February 2008. Mukundan Holdings Limited (MHL) had further invested in 49% of the holdings of Binani Cement Factory LLC, Dubai in March 2008. The Company has further investment in Murari Holdings Limited (MrHL) in October 2008.
The company is going to focus more on acquisitions abroad. It is likely to acquire plants with minimum 1 mtpa capacity and to spend USD 250-300 million in 3 years for that. It is mainly scouting for plants in Eastern Europe & Africa.
